Over a month has passed since my last post. Given 2015’s track record, I think it is safe to say that I am not much of a blogger. I’d like to apologize for my failure to be more consistent. Like everyone else, I have the best of intentions, but when it comes to committing time, effort, and energy—–well, I drop the ball with the best of ’em.
This isn’t to say I’ve been sitting on my hands doing nothing (though, admittedly, I have done my fair share of that, also). I could make all manner of excuses, and truth be told, I am giving myself far more grace than usual due to some significant life events. But the bottom line is that I simply did not apply myself to my tasks. Oh, I filled my idea vault with a few new concepts, and built endless Lego mini-figures for inspirado, and even continued to work on my long-gestating fantasy timeline, but the hard work of revising Stronghold, continuing the Writing as Worship series, and preparing To Retreat from Romance for publication all fell off my plate.
Despite these shortcomings; however, I have taken an inventory and sincerely looked at my projects for summer. I am hoping to dedicate myself to Stronghold and complete the revision by October. I intend to release Retreat the following month. I may even do National Novel Writing Month again, as it’s long been on my mind, and I missed it last year.
In the interim, I will try to post at least once a week.
Here’s hoping (and thanks for checking in)!
