Real Life Reaction to hearing that my son pee-pee’d in the Potty.

Thanks for stopping into my little corner of the internet.

It’s a beautiful day here in Wilmngton, DE. It’s hot, humid, and sunny. I love it. I hope that wherever you are and whatever you are doing, you love it, too.

I hope that you are living the life you want to live; and if you are not, I hope you are taking steps toward that end. Life is a gift that God has given us against all manner of statistical improbability. Savor it.

Here’s what’s up with me as I close this week.

Yeah, this pic’s a day late.

Hello, hello. Also, welcome. Another week in 2018 has passed, and here we are tell of it. I’ve been thinking a bit lately about weekly schedules. Sure, I have a morning routine and am developing a mid-evening one, too; but my weeks remain relatively fluid. I have heard that some entrepreneurs  and business types have made a practice of not only scheduling their days but also making certain weekly routines as part of life’s ebb-and-flow. I am beginning to wonder if that’s worth adding into my own life.

We shall see. For more reflections, updates, and so forth, keep reading.

Here’s to another week of life, to the good that has come and the people blessed by it!

I’ve had my fair share of decent days this past week. Granted, the ebbs and flows had high’s and low’s, but every week from now until glory will be that way. It’s how life is this side of things. And that’s not bad. I think folks my age were trained to believe that challenges, discomforts, and hardships are always negative and to be avoided at all costs. As someone who used to work out 6 days a week with a solid regimen, I know that’s not the case. Some challenges yield great rewards; some discomforts force us to develop, and some hardship can be the catalyst that brings new strength. So, yeah, some things are difficult, but that’s not always bad. At least it doesn’t have to be.

Halfway Through 2018

Well, How am I Doing?

As I said in my debrief on Saturday, we are now halfway through the year 2018. I’m doing this post because I felt that a half-year’s reflection was warranted. So, here is where I stand.

I’m not going to go back and rehash my weekend debriefs and recall how I felt on each given Saturday. I just want to take a look at where I am now versus where I was in January. The reason I’m using this approach rather than an analysis of the week by week debriefs is pretty simple: I am looking at the long-term benefit of the things that I’m doing even if the week-over-week results were not always what I desired or intended.

‘Sup, earth.

Aaaaaand, we now live in the month of July, having officially crossed the halfway mark of 2018. Seriously, how in the world is live passing this quickly? I understand it has to do with relativity and the fact that as we get older each year is a smaller percentage of our lives; ergo, they seem to pass by far more quickly even though time itself has been constant.

But this science doesn’t always help. It just means that next year is going to go even faster, and I have too much I’m still trying to do.

I feel like I need a freeze-ray, for time: The TimeFreezer. There’s a movie I can pitch.
