Well, we are officially within 45 days of closing The Gift of Water registry. 10 months and two weeks into this, and we’re around $3000 away from fulfilling the total. It’s been quite a road thus far.
We’re tired.
We’re spent.
And we see no sign of resting—well, I do, but that’s only because I force myself to take a day away from my various jobs. Six days out of Seven, I feel the heat of burning the candle at both ends.
And as I said, I know I am not alone. When most folks ask how I am, I usually tell them as much; they admit the same. We’re both relieved. It’s wonderfully cathartic.

I’m writing on the regular again.
And I love it. I feel like it’s something I do well and ought to do. I wish I could do it more. For this month, I am just trying to make sure I spend at least 15-20 minutes, 5-6 days a week. I think that’s enough time to keep the muscles functioning, though they’re not likely to improve. Sometimes we can only aim do what we believe we can.
Learn MoreRight now life is good. I try to savor every day. I have a beautiful wife, a wonderful son, a job I enjoy, and I feel like I am where I’m supposed to be.
It’s a very good feeling, and I am soaking in it.
With things going so well, I can only assume that they would get better if I would become even more efficient, so for 2017 I decided to get a planner—not a new app or a Google calendar, but a real tangible planner.
Learn MoreHi Everyone,
2017 is shaping up to be a pretty tremendous year. At this time in 2016, Landon was still living in the womb, we were renters, and I was struggling at work in hopes of taking next steps in our family’s future.
We begin this year with Landon in our arms or on his play mat, growing more wonderfully each day as he tries to stand, eats solid food, and discovers his sweet little voice. We’re making those good ol’ fashioned Mortgage payments on our first owned home. Jamie continues to adapt to the ever-changing rhythms of being a stay-at-home mom while I am loving my 8-5 job on a new career path in a different, healthy environment.
Yes, things are looking great, and there’s more!!!!
